Summer Hill Haul

It's been way over a year since I've thrifted and there's no better feeling than thrifting in my favourite place - Summer Hill Anglicare! Can you believe I bought all of these items for $16?! That's right, 16. You see what's so great about this place is you are charged $8 by the kilo, and all these second hand apparel are not hung in racks, but in a tub full of other clothing. And that's what I love about Summer Hill Anglicare, it's like diving into an adventure in which my friends know I call it - "Narnia". Found quite a few good pieces for the boyfriend too, including $1 ties! So much to thrift, so little time!

Cute & Pretty Valentine Nails

1. Start off with clean, fresh nails and cut to the style you like it to be.

These are the three nail polishes I have decided to go with - the BYS colour change polish for my nails, Ulta3 baby pink for my ring fingers and Ulta3 lily white to be the love hearts.

2. Apply your first choice of nail polish, excluding the ring fingers.

3. Taking your second polish, apply onto the ring fingers.

4. Pretending that this strip of tissue paper is tape, cut out a strip long enough to cover your finger nail.

5. Fold the tape in half, and cut out half of a heart out. Drawing is optional, if you feel that it just makes life easier and neater.

6. Apply the tape directly onto your nail, making sure that it is securely stuck on so the nail polish does not run through.

7. Paint over the tape and quickly remove the tape while the polish is still wet. Then finish it off with top coat!

Happy Valentines day in advance! Remember, you don't need a man to celebrate this random day on the calendar! Go on and hang out with your girlfriends! xo

February Wants

1. Make up Brush Kit from Topshop
I stumbled upon this brush set at Topshop Sydney a few months back and I simply just fell in love with it! It's complete with basically all the brushes you need for everyday simple application. Also, it comes in a cute pouch that you can take with you everywhere or just simply store it at home keeping it clean and away from damage. One of the items on top of my "MUST BUY" list!

2. Angelika Blush from Nars Cosmetics
My uncle who's a known hair and make up artist in the Philippines flew over for a holiday. We went to department stores such as David Jones, Myers and a few others looking at make up for his clients and customers. We stumbled upon Nars and I was his tester, and he applied "angelika". Despite it being so bright and almost fluro coloured, it really complimented my face.

3. Camo Vest from Sportsgirl
Camo is once again, in demand for retailers and fashion. I really love this vest because it's such thick material, and so it would be really good for the upcoming Autumn season. Sadly, it's in the sale section and if it's still there, well then it's meant to be for me! Camo is definitely something that you should have in your wardrobe right now. I mean it!

4. Floral High Waisted shorts from Forever New
I've always wanted a pair of floral high waisted shorts! Thing is, I am so picky with the way it is designed. Some shorts lack flowers, some are way over packed with flowers and sometimes its just not the right colour I want it to be. Well, I finally found the pair that I like! It's dark, therefore easy to pair with a shirt that is a plain solid colour and it's simply not over the top with the floral.

5. A5 Display Folder from Typo
Ok, so this is really irrelevant but you never know! I am a sucker for cute and pretty stationary but I'm sure I'll find something useful for this.

What are you wanting this month?

In love with: LIFEwithBIRD A/W

I only stumbled across LIFEwithBIRD recently on Vogue Australia and instantly fell in love with their upcoming Autumn/Winter collection! What drew me to them is how they used the grey scale tones everyone wears during winter whilst creating a bold, bright colourful print able to grab anybody's attention. I love everything about their collection. A must see! (And buy)

Meshed Up Sequins

What I'm wearing:
Crop Singlet: Topshop
High Waisted Shorts: Mink Pink
Shoes: Isabella Brown

What is my favourite top in my wardrobe? Well, this baby is. I don't know why I love it so much, perhaps its all the sequined embroidery in the front of the crop top or the fact that its mesh material and for some odd reason my silly mind is always drawn to it or just because it's simply sophisticated but not over the top at the same time. I don't know, but I am overly glad to have come across thrifting for this garment. I was actually so surprised that there was still quite a few of these crops in the sale rack, seeing that it's such a beauty. Seeing that I purchased this singlet over a month ago, I always thought I needed some excuse to wear this out casually in public without looking "over done". Little did I know, it is so easy to dress this up or down. A piece of clothing definitely must have to make a statement!
